How to Edit a Hotel Lobby AI Video for TikTok and Reels

Edit a completed Hotel Lobby AI video for social posting: preserve both characters, choose a vertical layout, add readable captions and review audio before export.

Once your Hotel Lobby AI video is complete, a short editing pass can make the duo easier to see and the joke easier to understand. This guide starts with a downloaded result. The generator provides the preset performance; captions, reframing and your final publishing layout are separate editing choices.

You can follow these steps in an editor that supports a canvas, scaling, text and audio controls. This is a general workflow, not a downloadable CapCut template or a tutorial for a specific editor version.

Review the original before editing

Watch the complete clip with sound. Check both characters during turns and gestures, confirm the casting, and look for missing frames or identity changes. Editing can change the presentation, but it cannot reliably repair a face that changes across the generated performance.

If the problem is casting or likeness, start with the character-swap troubleshooting guide. Save a copy of the original download before making edits.

Choose between fitting and cropping

For a vertical post, create a portrait canvas in your editor. A 9:16 canvas is a common choice; it does not mean the downloaded source is already vertical. Inspect the actual file and the preview rather than assuming its aspect ratio.

There are two useful approaches:

  • Fit the full clip: keep both performers visible inside the canvas. Fill unused space with a simple background, or a blurred duplicate of the clip if your editor supports it.
  • Crop the clip: enlarge it to fill the canvas. Watch the entire performance to check whether this cuts off either person, their gestures or the hanging microphone.

For a two-person performance, fitting often preserves the interaction more clearly. If you crop, review the moments when the duo moves apart. A crop that looks good at the opening may fail later.

Add a caption that explains the casting

Use a short line that tells viewers why these two characters belong together. For example, “Me and my friend after finishing the project” describes a premise; it is an illustrative caption, not a claim about a real event in the video.

Keep text away from faces and important hand movements. Use a readable contrast and review the clip at phone size. Preview in the publishing app before posting, because its interface can cover text near the edges.

Check the soundtrack separately

Listen to the download first: the workflow adds source audio during finishing. If you place another track over it, mute or adjust the original so you do not accidentally play two recordings at once. Recheck the timing after trimming.

If you use a platform's music library, check the available track and the terms for your account and intended use. The presence of audio in a download does not establish permission to publish it. For background on the original performance, read the Hotel Lobby song-origin article.

Export, reopen and watch once more

Export with settings suited to your canvas and source. Increasing the export resolution does not recreate detail missing from the original. Reopen the exported file and check that the text remains readable, both performers stay visible and the audio plays as intended.

Describe the post as an AI remake so viewers understand the format. Keep the untouched download if you want a different layout later. To make a new cast, return to the Hotel Lobby AI generator; to inspect the preset first, open the template preview.
